*PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW CAREFULLY*
To increase the chances of your story appearing in the Trees movie, we ask that
you — or the people featured in your video — answer one (or more) of
the following questions:
What do trees mean to you?
How have you or your community been impacted by trees, deforestation,
or reforestation?
What role do you believe trees play when it comes to climate change?
Do you believe that trees have a deeper intelligence?
Are you a scientist or specialist in a specific area that relates to trees? What unique perspective can you offer the world?
Are you involved in tree-planting or restoration/afforestation projects? If so, can you show us what your operation looks like, up close?
Are you a front-line tree activist (Protestor, demonstrator, educator)? Tell us about your unique experience(s) and why you’ve chosen to do what you do.
*We strongly recommend making the story as personal as possible.
We will accept footage shot on any device, whether it be a camera, smart phone or other device. The best camera settings are 2k or 4K at 24fps (fps = frames per second).
If your device cannot shoot at 24fps, 30fps should work fine.
Footage submissions should be no longer than 10 Minutes and you are welcome to submit more than one video.
All footage must center on trees, reforestation, or other tree-related activities.
We require that your submission is RAW FOOTAGE, so that means:
No special effects
No filters or stickers
No watermark
No music
No logos, whether for the production company itself or within the footage (e.g., no Nike swoops or Mac apples)
We suggest filming in landscape view. If you’re using a mobile phone, this means that we would prefer that you hold your camera horizontally.
If selected, we will get in touch and send you a Filmmaker Release Form. But nothing is needed, except for your submitted footage and contact information for now!
Thank you for your submission – we look forward to receiving your footage!
